Meet the Photographer
Photography is one of the most beautiful ways to experience and cherish memories in life.
It is also a way to capture the glory and awesomeness of our Creator. Photography makes time stand still so we can remember and appreciate those precious moments.
I am an award-winning newborn, maternity and family photographer based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and I love preserving love, laughter, and all the little in-between moments, both in my cozy studio and out in our beautiful Wyoming outdoors.
I feel incredibly blessed to live and work in a place with such stunning backdrops, from golden fields and big skies to the soft beautiful light of my studio space. Whether we are documenting sleepy newborns, growing bellies, wild toddlers, family hugs or proud graduates, I am here to help you hold onto the real moments, the ones you never want to forget.

Where My Story Began
My photography story did not start in the wild west and tumbleweeds of Wyoming. My interest in photography started when I was a little girl back in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I always took a camera with me to summer camp and enjoyed looking at other people's pictures when I visited their homes.
My enthusiasm increased when I studied forensic photography in university in 2002, and then I used these skills as part of my job as a forensic investigator. I took numerous courses in forensic photography throughout my career as an investigator. As I travelled around the world, my desire deepened to learn even more about the technical aspects of getting the perfect photo.
I always enjoyed taking landscape and travel photographs and decided to enter some photo contests. In the first couple of contests, several of my photos placed in the top 5 with one of my Canadian landscapes coming in second in an international contest. Shortly, after my first contest, a friend asked me to take their newborn/family photos and that is where my journey into portrait photography began.
My Experience & Training
In 2014, I started to take training to learn the many aspect of building a portrait photography business. My clients’ confidence in my abilities to capture beautiful memories is my number one priority and so I have taken a great deal of training from some of the best photographers in the business.
I was mentored by Bogi Photography in Germany in the beginning as I built my business. For my newborn clients, I have invested most of my training in this area to include hands-on training by the world famous newborn/maternity/child photographer, Ana Brandt in California. I have also completed multiple online courses by the award winning newborn photographer, Kelly Brown from Australia. I attend in person newborn and maternity training annually and monthly take online training courses.
I am trained in newborn photography safety measures through APNPI (Accredited Professional Newborn Photographer International) so your sweet new bundle of joy will be in good hands and I have received my APNPI qualified newborn photographer credentials, which I achieved in 2023. To achieve these credentials, I had to demonstrate to a panel of leaders in the industry, my knowledge and expertise in lighting, composition, posing families as well as newborn posing and safety measures. In 2025, I received my accreditation from APNPI in maternity photography.
For my family session clients who prefer outdoor session, I have taken multiple courses from Brittany Bruce Photography and Katelyn James Photography.
I share my training with you because when you are making an investment in photographs of your newborn, children and family, I want you to know you are in excellent well-trained hands rather than the hands of someone who simply purchased a great camera and started taking photos. I invest in my education continually for my clients to have the best experience.
My Photo Studio & Awards
I have a cozy home studio located in Cheyenne Wyoming. I have a main studio and a lifestyle studio. My prop room is filled with a variety of backdrops, props and outfits / dresses for newborns, babies, children and moms to be.
In October of 2023, 2024 & 2025, I was bestowed the great honour of being award the Best of the Best Photographer in Cheyenne after moving here in May of 2022. In 2025, I also won #1 Photographer in Cheyenne through Cap City’s Best. I am truly humbled by this incredible community embracing me and my style of photography.
My Services
As a published, award winning photographer and recently a retiree military spouse, I have moved more times than I have toes. With my husband retiring from the military near the end of 2025, I am grateful to continue serving Cheyenne, Wyoming and surrounding areas, northern Colorado and south western Nebraska. I am also willing to travel and have had the opportunity to do photo sessions in Canada, Europe and some of the other States.
I specialize in all things family to include newborns and maternity, family, children, first birthday - cake smashes, the family dog, high school seniors, prom, graduation, couples of all ages and professional headshots and small business branding. I also photograph military promotions and retirement events as well as adoption ceremonies at the Cheyenne court house. I strive to make every photo session different from any other session, so it remains special to each client.
I am very thankful for all the people who have asked me to document their milestones and special moments in their lives and have given me the opportunity to be creative and grow in the art of photography.
